With qualifications and a demonstrable expertise in the resolution of multilayered workplace issues, including the management of both significant employee and industrial disputes, Mischa has a reputation for delivering ingenious solutions to matters of unusual human complexity.
As a passionate advocate for social justice, her practice is focussed on building leadership capability, restoring fractured relationships and navigating the challenge of psycho-social risk in the workplace.
As Chair of the Queensland Premier’s independent review of the Queensland Police Service, working with the Office of the Special Investigator, along with her twelve year tenure as a ‘sorterouterer’ for Queensland Ambulance, Mischa is well placed to interpret and contribute to the unique culture of Emergency Services.

Mischa’s presentation will focus on governance capability, professional identity and the future of leadership within ambulance.
The presentation aims to examine the tests faced by our leaders in a changing profession, the ever evolving expectations and the professionalisation of ambulance services. It will explore the reality of leadership, managing the challenges of attracting and retaining good people, succession planning, the impact of culture and ultimately, what it means to lead in a modern, multidisciplinary emergency service.
