Significance:
Using XRAI Vision®, a remote hospital staff with diabetes was saved from deadly infection and amputation in real time, saving the State at least $64,554 surgery, 12 clinical resources, 12 months of wait time to see a specialist and 1.3 tonnes of carbon footprint. All done in 15 minutes using only 3 clinicians to diagnose and treat on-the-spot.

Findings:
- This groundbreaking technology co-designed with remote Aboriginal communities in the Pilbara and Kimberley was found to provide high resolution video and image transmission in real time reliably across mobile hotspot, Wifi, Bluetooth and satellite communications networks in very remote areas of the Western Desert.
- Its effectiveness and efficiency with rapid upskilling on-the-job will significantly change the workforce dynamics, reduce burnout and close the gaps for Aboriginal and remote patients.
