Brendon is Chief Emergency Officer at St John WA, leading the ambulance and patient transport services across one of the largest jurisdictions in the world. Brendon commenced with St John WA in June 2023 having previously held senior leadership positions with Rio Tinto across a career spanning 15 years. Brendon has a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He is invested in the challenge of cultural transformation at St John WA to deliver a world-class ambulance service and create a workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, trusted and cared-for.
Presentation Title and Overview: Mining to Ambulance
I was fortunate to have many diverse leadership experiences over 15 years with Rio Tinto. Just over a year into my leadership journey in ambulance as Chief Emergency Officer with St John WA many similarities and many differences have been highlighted in relation to leadership challenges across the two sectors. In this presentation I aim to discuss those insights, highlight some important lessons learned, and showcase the transformation journey that we have embarked on at St John WA to create a high performance culture.
