Erica Kreismann

Erica believes that supporting and developing our people and teams is at the heart of true leadership and she is honoured to be a part of such a dynamic, motivated, and mission-driven team at Ambulance Tasmania. Having completed a Residency in Emergency Medicine and a Fellowship in Clinical Bioethics in New York City she landed in Tasmania 12 years ago on a bit of a rogue adventure that somehow hasn’t ended. Erica’s love for prehospital medicine developed gradually over many roles and iterations which have taken her from retrieval coordinator to Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) doctor and more recently into the role of Executive Medical Director. She believes that leading with courage and kindness is vital to our progress as a profession and that it is incumbent upon all of us to be a part of the solutions we seek. Honouring our mission, supporting each other, and extending grace is vital to combating burnout and to having a positive impact. Erica is also a Certified Executive Coach and when not chasing her 4 children around she can be found tucked away with a book in front of the fire or by following her oversized laugh.
