Abstract
Community Paramedic programs since inception have been innovative by their very natures. However, most have followed a very reasonable and expected delivery model. Kevin will demonstrate how now more than ever leadership of these programs must understand “unreasonable” program leadership is what allows these program to thrive and be more than successful in today’s climate. the presentation will define what and how “reasonable” program goals and why they remain stagnant and not contested verses how “unreasonable” expectations can be the absolute difference maker. The presentation will present the situation problem of CP programs losing interest, and provide actionable task of truly understand how the original intent of these programs was to “go the extra mile” for our communities. The presentation will not only hypothesize about this but will show actual implementation results and how it is turning one department upside down in an unreasonable (positive) way. The program is full of data results but most importantly is full of actual human case studies with demonstrated impact to the patients.
